Its time to vote for your favorite tee design!

That's right...for the 2013 Van Waitangi Day tee design we have decided to put the vote to the people!

We have loaded our two design entries onto the blog (to the right) and below the designs is a poll...Simply pick your favorite and log your vote!  You have until 1pm on Wednesday the 19th to cast your vote so make sure you do!

Huge thanks to Hannah Patterson and Jake Hope for the designs and all their hard work in preparing them for us, you guys are legends.
Good luck to them both, the event team was split between them!

Happy Voting!

(Sorry for spelling your name wrong earlier Hannah...unfortunately now that the poll has started we cant edit the spelling there...sorry!)

  1. It's been said that Jake Hope's design was brought to him by the offspring of Jonah Lomu and a female Mountie after he scaled Grouse Mountain in ice skates with a moose strapped to his back.

This is why a vote for Jake Hope is a vote for the true bond between New Zealand and Canada. This is why a vote for Jake Hope is a vote for freedom.

  3. Wow congratulations to both designers on their awesome designs both are very well done however the competition is for a shirt designed around Waitangi day in NZ.However I'm struggling to see how the second design has anything to do with Waitangi day as we do not have bears, moose, ice hockey or the Lionsgate bridge in New Zealand. awesome design but would look better in a Van City souvenir shop. Well done Hannah on the Aotearoa design. Very Kiwiana. LOVE IT!!! you have my vote!

  4. While I agree both designs are great and show off some of the great creative talent that us Kiwis have to offer (world-beating creative talent at that), I prefer Jake Hope's image as I feel it encapsulates the essence of being abroad as a Kiwi. While we never forget home, and where we have come from, we openly embrace the new countries that we chose to live in and adopt (worldwide even). To that end, I love how Jake has combined the heritage and true icons of both New Zealand AND Vancouver.

We never forget where we are from, but also love where we currently are. Hence the t-shirt for our Van City Waitangi Day event should reflect both cultures, which Jake has managed to capture with his design.
